Hankou Branch was set up in September of 2000 year with the ratification of Ministry of Education of China. It is a university under the newest management and operation models;and also a new type of university in the charge of the president led by the Board of Directors.At present ,there are seven faculties,four departments and two section,which involve in seven first-class cafegories of discipline and eighteen regular undergraduate and specialized courses;they are the sciences of Economic,Management,Law,Literature,Engineering,Rationalization and Art.She depend on the rich educational resources and aboundant actual strength from Central China Normal University and now the mother part has one hundred years old.

Our Hankou Branch is located by the Tangxun Lake;its environment is graceful and scenry is beautiful.Here,Tangxun Lake region becomes the centre of science and technology,culture and education of Hubei province;it is also the national hi-tech centre of China optical valley.

Now,Hankou Branch covers an area of over 1200mu and the new campus reaches an area of 250000 square meters and it is an ideal place for numerous yongsters for their further study.

Hakou Branch is thinking highly of construction of the teaching staff.Up to now,it employs a great many teachers from Wuhan University and Central China Normal University;the main part of Central China Normal University has selected.581 teachers with senior titles to give lectures here;it also employs 133 teachers for having the common courses to the undergraduates;among them,there are 65%with the doctorate and Master’s.Our Branch also invites some famous experts,scholars and eminent persons to form an Expert Consulting committee to raise their advice and suggestions for the development of the Branch;at the same time,it sets up the first one research centre of independent faculty and campus culture.
